Camp Dates

Easter Camp 2008 is to be held in Verdala Castle Grounds from Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd March 2008. The boys are to arrive at the campsite by 2.00pm on Thursday and may leave camp after Saturday’s campfire which should be over by 10pm. This activity will still be held if bad weather is looming - a contingency programme has been prepared should the weather be bad throughout camp.

We wish all our vistors, cubs and parents a sincere Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the leaders

Dear Parents,

We would like to remind you all regarding next WEDNESDAY'S Parents meeting. It is of great importance to attend in order to register your son for the year 2008.

Apart from the above Wednesday meeting.

We Would like to inform you all, That NEXT Thursday - 20th December 2007. We shall having our yearly long awaited Christmas party.

All that the boys would require is to attend from 5.30pm to 8.00pm, dress in normal clothing, and instead of bringing a gift for another child, this year we shall be collecting gifts for the refugees such as:


- Foodstuff = Tea, Coffee, Flour, Oil, Sugar & Salt
- Used items = Blankets, Towels, Curtains, Mens clothes and shoes, Scarves and Beanies

It would be greatly appreciative if every kid could at least bring one item of the ones above.

Looking forward to seeing you all Next Wednesday & Thursday

CUB SCOUTS, SCOUTS, VENTURE SCOUTS

KINDLY NOTE, THAT A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING FOR ALL PARENTS OR GUARDIANS WILL BE HELD AT THE SLIEMA SCOUT GROUP HEADQUARTERS ON WEDNESDAY 19TH DECEMBER. DURING THIS MEETING YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER YOUR SON AS A MEMBER OF THE GROUP FOR THE YEAR 2008.

As you all know, the Sliema Scout Group has a constant demand by boys wanting to join the Group at all levels. We in fact, have a waiting list of boys wanting to join. As a result we require your confirmation that your son wishes to remain a member of the Group and we therefore would like you to re-register your son’s membership on this date. Needless to say existing members have priority.

Once again this Christmas we have joined up with James Caterers to provide you with delicious Christmas sweets.

James Caterers, has kindly offered to cater us with Christmas Cakes, Almond Cakes, Christmas Logs, & delicious Mince pies.

PLEASE NOTE, THAT ALL PROFIT FROM THE SALE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED SWEETS WILL BE DONATED TO THE GROUP IN ORDER TO BUY NEW EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR SON TO BENEFIT FROM.

We look forward to receiving your order by not later than Next Thursday 6th December.

On the 2nd December the Sliema Group is organizing a Fun Day, where all participants, no matter if you are a member of the group or not, will be able to join in...

There are a number of activities being organized, such as, Flyfox, BP bread, Tug of War, Crafts and more!!


PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR THIS EVENT IS NEXT THURSDAY, PLEASE CONFIRM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN MAKE THE EVENT A REALLY MEMORABLE EVENT, ONE NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN.


YOUR ATTENDANCE & THAT OF FRIENDS & FAMILY WILL SURELY BE HIGHLY TREASURED IN EVENTS SUCH AS THESE, IN ORDER TO HAVE A GREAT TIME TOGETHER.

Kirsten Demicoli

Born in 1984 and lives in Swieqi. Educated at St. Joseph School Sliema & The Malta college of Art, Science & Technology. Graduated with an Honours Degree in Management & Business at The University of Glamorgan Wales, UK in 2006.

Kirsten became a Brownie in 1992, as well as a Girl Guide with the St. Joseph School Sliema 14th Pack Sliema. Kirsten Joined the Sliema Group as an acting Assistant Cub Scout Leader in 2003.

Kirsten has effectively completed the NSPCC 'Keeping Children Safe' Programme, she also undertook and completed the Malta Red Cross First aid course, and is currently finalising her Presidents Award at Gold Level.

Instead of next week’s meeting, we would like to inform all of you, that we shall be having a SPOOKY SPECIAL CUBS MEETING.

All boys are to come dressed up as scary as possible. All costumes are to be designed by the boys themselves, be it the whole costume, a mask or an accessory.

We shall be having various:

GAMES,
COMPETITIONS,
SCARY FASHION SHOWS,
ETC.

All the leaders are looking forward to seeing all of you as SCARY as possible
